Join us for From Captivity to Freedom: Emancipation & Islam, a Juneteenth film and discussion night in collaboration with AFRO. Together, we'll explore the powerful and often overlooked legacy of Black Muslim slaves and their role in the fight for freedom and dignity in America.
The evening will feature a short film screening, followed by a guided discussion reflecting on Juneteenth, the deep spiritual resilience of African Muslims during slavery, and the ways this history shapes our present.
Pizza will be served, and there will be space for open dialogue, learning, and connection. This is a night to honor our ancestors, celebrate our survival, and recommit to collective liberation.
