Get your running (or walking) shoes, your coordination, a costume (optional) and join us for the 2nd annual "Spill The Tea" relay race. All proceeds for this event will go to benefit Needs, Inc.
Needs provides vital services through the food pantry, free clothing store, hygiene kits, career closet, and low-cost thrift store. With every step, they honor a commitment to preserving dignity and uplifting lives during times of hardship.
Here are the details:
Each team will consist of 4 participants
Pre-registration should be submitted here, but each team will be required to check in by 9am the morning of the race. Each team member will be required to sign a waiver before they can participate in the race. We don't necessarily need all the names of your team members at this point assuming you will have your team put together by race day.
The first team member will start with a full tea cup and navigate a short course through trees and return to the starting line to fill up the next team members tea cup.
Winning teams will be scored based on the fastest time and the least amount of tea spilled. The final amount of tea will be measured at the end of the race to determine the number of ounces still remaining in the final cup.
An awards ceremony will be immediately following the race and prizes will be as follows:
1st Prize - $175
2nd Prize - $100
3rd Prize - $75
Whoever registers will be considered the team lead and all future correspondence about the race will go to the email on the registration form. Cost is $80 per team.
The race will happen rain or shine unless there is a torrential downpour. Unfortunately, we will not be able to issue refunds, but will make every effort to help find a replacement team if you can't make it.
