Join instructor Chris Ann Ambrey for an exciting workshop that will explore the many techniques of Gelliplate Printing. Gelliplate Printing is a wonderfully expressive and versatile hand printing technique that is done without a press. Prints can be created on a variety of papers and fabrics with acrylic paint or printing inks. This form of printmaking is suitable for all ages and levels of expertise.
During this workshop participants will create single layer and multi-layer monotypes. Participants will use stencils, household items, and foliage to create beautiful textures and explore color to create opaque and transparent layers. $75 per person includes materials.
About your instructor: Chris Ann Ambery
Chris Ann is a multi-disciplinary artist and art educator who was born and raised in Queens, New York. She earned a BFA in Illustration from Parsons School of Design and an MFA in Printmaking from LIU Post. Chris Ann maintains an active an active studio practice in both Adirondack, NY and Venice, FL.
