Join Squatch UTV Rentals LLC, Where the Blacktop Ends, Barker Gap, and Cove City Cabins for a day of outdoor activities. Our event will commence at The #12 School House 27930 Freedom Rd, Chester AR and will lead up to the 2025 Paw Paw Festival, taking place in Chester, Arkansas, on September 20th. The festival will feature a variety of activities throughout the day from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including breakfast served from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Farmers Market Pavilion. Attendees can enjoy food trucks and a Paw Paw-themed ice cream truck. The apothecary and gift shop inside The Beard and Lady Inn will be open all day for shopping, offering herbal products and paw paw-related items.
Additionally, there will be guest speakers at the Apothecary covering topics such as fall foraging, paw paws, wild crafting, and primitive skills. Participants are encouraged to form teams and compete in our cornhole tournament. The entry fee is $30 per team, with half of the proceeds awarded to the tournament winners and the other half donated to the band Dreadful Day, performing during the event. There is also an opportunity to participate in the second annual “Paw Paw” pageant, (a native fruit and a Southern term for grandpa). Contestants will engage in a seed-spitting competition and share their best words of wisdom within a three-minute speech. The winner will be crowned the 2025 Paw Paw King. Additional details will be provided soon.
