Introduction to Raised Bed Gardening Workshop

This workshop is aimed at community members interested in home food production who are spatially constrained or are otherwise unable to maintain an in-ground garden. Staff from the North Carolina Cooperative Extension – Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Office will lead discussion on a variety of production topics and attendees will receive  further reference materials upon completion of the workshop..

Specific topics include: the benefits of raised bed gardening, the planning process, lighting and watering requirements, appropriate building materials and growing media, and recommended plant varieties. .
