Some summers stay stitched to our souls.  

Mango juice dripped down our wrists when cricket bruises were badges of pride where rooftops held the weight of our untold secrets with the brush of a hand during a power cut with a glance that stayed long after the season ended and our first love bloomed quietly under the lazy hum of ceiling fans.

Some summers smell like ripe memories of laughter that refused to grow up. Some summers never ended; they folded themselves into the corners of our hearts.
