Overhang Climbing Master Class

In this hour and a half clinic, you’ll learn essential techniques for climbing overhanging terrain while building the body awareness, strength, and movement skills needed to tackle steep climbs with confidence. We’ll cover strategies like efficient footwork, core engagement, heel and toe hooks, and finding rest positions — all of which apply to both bouldering and rope climbing, indoors and outdoors. This clinic is ideal for any climbers looking to improve their technique on steep routes. The clinic will take place in the bouldering area Downtown.

Recommendations

We recommend participants have at least 6 months of climbing experience and feel comfortable taking falls in the bouldering area.
