Carolina Comeback 5K

Please join us for the Carolina Comeback 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run presented by the Stride Forward Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Charlotte area high school students.

All profits from the event will benefit the Buncombe County Schools Foundation to assist with ongoing recovery efforts following the impact of Hurricane Helene. Your participation will directly support students, educators, and school communities as they work to rebuild. Western North Carolina still faces serious challenges as the area recovers from the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene. Many area elementary, middle and high schools were damaged or destroyed, displacing students and teachers, disrupting education and the day to day lives of families with school age children. Our goal is to provide financial support to the area school system in an effort to aid and expedite the rebuilding process.

Our event is open to people of all ages and fitness levels! Whether you are aiming to set a personal best on this well-known course or simply looking to enjoy a morning outdoors with friends and family while supporting a worthy cause, we welcome your participation. The 5k course winds through the scenic trails of McAlpine Creek Park and is the same course used for large local and regional high school races, including the Foot Locker Southeast Regional Championships.

Come out, get moving, and turn miles into meaning.
