Join Us for a Free, Public Forum! Our 2nd Session!
The Geauga County Auditor’s Office, the League of Women Voters of Geauga, and the Geauga County Public Library will host a moderated educational program about property taxes, how they work and how they support services in our community. This program brings together a panel of local leaders, including township elected officials, representatives from local governments, and school officials, to explain how property tax revenue is allocated and used within their organizations. This is the first in a series of three sessions, with the other two to follow in the coming months.
This moderated panel discussion with elected officials will define, describe, and inform:
• What services are provided and how are they funded?
• What service changes could look like if property taxes are abolished?
• What are other funding options for services if property taxes are abolished?
Can't make this date? We are offering this public forum 3 times. The other two dates are: Wednesday, Feb 25, 2026, 6:30-8pm at Bainbridge Library. Tuesday April 7, 2026, 7-8:30 pm at Middlefield Library.
