Minnesota Paddling Opener X Hornbeck Demo Day

Hornbeck Boats is proud to sponsor the 2025 Minnesota Paddling Opener on the Mississippi River on Father’s Day, June 15th, just north of Minneapolis. We will be providing a FREE HBOS DEMO paddle from 12pm-5pm at the finish line. All Hornbeck Packboats, Greyduck Canoes and Mocean Kayaks will be available, no sign-up required!

To Participate in the Opener:
Choose from tours, races and relays ranging from 5 to 145 miles. All self-powered boats are welcome (canoes, kayaks, stand up paddleboards, etc.)

The “5-mile Root Beer Float” is great for families and beginners and is just $10 per person (rental boats available)

At the finish line there will be the open-to-the-public Post Paddle Party, featuring four-piece string band Uncle Kenny, various paddling and river organizations and the excitement of over 100 boats crossing the finish line.
