Unity Exchange

Unity Exchange is a community marketplace that brings together local entrepreneurs, artisans, and performers across Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. Originally the Diversity Market, this innovative dual-city series creates economic opportunities for approximately 60 vendors while fostering connections through commerce and culture.

Operating four Saturdays in summer 2025 (June 21 & 28 in Cedar Rapids, July 5 & 12 in Iowa City), Unity Exchange features handcrafted goods, specialty foods, live music, and family-friendly activities. The marketplace serves as both a business incubator for emerging entrepreneurs and a gathering space where shopping becomes community building.

The name reflects the organization's belief that diversity and unity work together to strengthen communities. Each market transforms ordinary transactions into meaningful exchanges of goods, ideas, and connections, proving that when we support local entrepreneurs across our differences, entire communities thrive.
