ENOUGH! Plays to End Gun Violence

Bridge Street Theatre Joins the National ENOUGH! Project

On Monday, October 6, 2025 at 7:00pm, Bridge Street Theatre will join more than 48 communities nationwide in presenting the 2025 edition of “ENOUGH! Plays to End Gun Violence.” This powerful one-night-only staged reading will feature six short plays written by teens, performed by local teen actors, and centered on the urgent issue of gun violence in America.

Founded in 2019 by theatre-maker Michael Cotey, ENOUGH! invites young writers to confront gun violence by creating bold, original short plays. From 127 submissions received this year, a distinguished panel of nationally recognized playwrights, authors, and activists selected six winning scripts. These pieces give voice to a generation that is grappling directly with the impact of violence, while also offering visions of resilience, compassion, and change.

Bridge Street Theatre is honored to give these works a platform in Catskill, NY, bringing young voices from across the country to our stage and engaging our own community in a vital national conversation.
