Friends of Castleton Parks & Recreation Announce "Cash Bash" Fundraiser for Rec Center Gym Upgrades
Get ready for an exciting evening of chances to win big money, enjoy delicious BBQ and community spirit! Friends of Castleton Parks and Recreation are thrilled to announce their "Cash Bash," a lively fundraising event to support upgrades to the Castleton Recreation Center’s gymnasium, including a new gym floor.
This isn't your average raffle! For just $100 per ticket, two adults (21+) will enjoy mouthwatering BBQ prepared by competitive barbecuer, Tim Rogers, of Up 2 BBQ, featuring slow-smoked pork and beef alongside a tempting buffet of sides and desserts. But that's not all – each of your ticket(s) give you the chance to win the grand prize of $5,000 CASH or one of 30 cash prizes totaling $5,000. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT TO WIN!!!
Here's how the excitement unfolds: 300 tickets will be placed in a tumbler, and the drawings will begin with one ticket drawn at a time until the tumbler is empty. Each ticket gives its owner(s) one chance to win one of the following cash prizes:
• 24 prizes of $100 (drawn at intervals such as the 10th, 20th, 30th ticket, and so on).
• 3 prizes of $200 (50th, 150th, and 250th tickets).
• 2 prizes of $500 (100th and 200th tickets).
• 1 prize of $1,000 (299th ticket).
• 1 grand prize of $5,000 (300th ticket)!
The Cash Bash will take place on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Castleton Recreation Center (formerly the Castleton Village School/CVS) on Mechanic St. in the Village of Castleton.
Beyond the thrilling cash drawings and fantastic food, attendees can look forward to:
• Bidding on exciting items in a silent auction.
• Participating in 50/50 raffles for even more chances to win.
• Connecting with fellow community members and former CVS students.
• Taking a nostalgic tour of the building.
