Join Horizon Pagans as we celebrate Litha, the festival of the summer solstice, when the sun reaches its highest point in the sky, marking the longest day of the year. The sun's position in the sky changes very little for a few days around the solstice, making it appear to stand still. Litha is a time for gratitude, honoring the abundance and beauty of Mother Earth. Flowers are in bloom and gardens are producing fresh vegetables and fruits. Gather with family and friends to celebrate the longest day and look ahead to the coming harvest season.
Please bring a dish to share for the potluck dinner after the ritual. Please also bring a camp chair and/or blanket if you might like to sit outside around a fire after clean-up. Optional: wear the colors of the sky, woods, and flowers, such as blue, green, yellow, pink, and purple.
All ages are welcome at our family-friendly events, including children under adult supervision. Childcare is also provided.
Ritual begins at 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall or Labyrinth, depending on the weather.
All Are Welcome!
