ONBH Hunter Pace Series
DCR Great Brook Farm State Park

Our first Hunter Pace of the Series will be held at DCR Great Brook Farm State Park. This marvelous territory has it all! Wooded trails, open fields, and plenty of jumps (don't worry, you can go around all of them). The course at this venue is generally around 6 - 8 miles.

Hunter Pace teams of 2-4 riders will ride out between 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM. There will be three divisions:
Jumpers/First Flight (Fences)
Pick & Choose/Second Flight (Some Fences)
Leisure /Hilltoppers
*** Best Matched Teams Overall*** NEW ribbons 1st - 6th
(Fences are optional in all divisions)
Ribbons awarded & points added for Championship
All riding disciplines are welcome. English & Western Riders included
(***Leisure riders please plan to go out no later than 12:00 PM***)
HARD HATS & BOOTS are required.

Location: Great Brook Farm State Park. Parking is at the Ski Barn 1018 Lowell St.
Start Time 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (last riders out in leisure by 12:00)

So, What's a Hunter Pace?
Horse and rider teams follow a pre-set route. Teams that come closest to the optimum time (based on a hunting pace) win.
Riders can choose from the following divisions:
Jumpers/First Flight (Fences)
Pick & Choose/Second Flight (Some Fences)
Leisure /Hilltoppers
Fences are optional in all divisions and there are a good variety out there in sizes that will appeal to almost everyone!
All Entries are non refundable. All proceeds go to the care of our hounds.

Old North Bridge Hounds
The Old North Bridge Hounds (ONBH), established in 1969, is one of 7 hunt clubs in New England. ONBH engages in drag hunting, not live foxhunting which insures participants a nice run every time the hounds go out.
