About the event

Mass for the 100th Anniversary of the Dedication of OLC
The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation is celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Dedication of the Church! On Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 7:00 PM, Most Rev. Daniel E. Thomas, Bishop of Toledo, will celebrate Mass for the 100th anniversary of the church, now designated a basilica. All from throughout the diocese are welcome and encouraged to attend!

One hundred years ago on Sunday, June 25, 1925, Bishop Samuel A. Stritch was the celebrant for the solemn dedication of the church. Thousands were in attendance for the dedication. We hope that many from throughout the diocese and beyond will come and celebrate this centennial with the Our Lady of Consolation community.

A reception will be held after the Mass in the Shrine Cafeteria.
