Ecumenical and Interreligious Pilgrimage
Building on the fruit and blessings of last year’s Ecumenical and Interreligious Pilgrimage, many pilgrims will be walking a similar route this Summer, to celebrate their faith and fellowship. The event is hosted jointly by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cardiff-Menevia, the Church in Wales Diocese of Llandaff, and the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales.
The event will begin at 1.30pm at St Padarn’s Institute, the Theological Training College of the Church in Wales, with a reflection on pilgrimage and baptism, with input from the Roman Catholic and Anglican Bishops.
The pilgrimage through the Bute Park will culminate at St David’s Roman Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral with a liturgy of prayer and reaffirmation of Baptism, followed by light refreshments, concluding at about 5pm.
It promises to be a wonderful opportunity for those of the different faith traditions in the city to journey together, bearing witness to God and His Love.
13:30 – Gathering at the Chapel at St Padarn’s Institute. Prayers, Conversation/Dialogue with Archbishop Mark/Bishop Mary (possibly Archbishop Andrew too)
14:15/14:30 Start Pilgrimage
16:00 – Arrive at St David’s Metropolitan Cathedral. Reaffirmation Service of Baptism
16:45 – Refreshments at Cornerstone
