Join us at Geek Retreat, Cardiff for a game or two of Blood on the Clocktower.
It's free to attend - though there's a fair use policy of buying food/drink to allow the venue to host us without charge. (Hot food/drinks are available until 7pm, and snacks/cold drinks are available after that.)
Towns:
We plan for two towns at each event (dependent on numbers). The first town is dedicated to Base 3 scripts (Trouble Brewing, Bad Moon Rising, Sects and Violets) to ensure the event is always accessible for new/inexperienced players.
We then plan a second town for custom scripts determined by player and Storyteller preference.
The event officially starts from 6pm, but one organiser arrives early with a teensyville script set up so anybody who arrives early/right on time can play immediately.
Usually we have time for two full games per town.
Notes:
We primarily organise things via the BotC - South West and Wales discord server. Joining details will be available at the event for people wanting to keep in touch.
If you know people who want to play, share this around: we want anybody interested in the game to be welcome and for the game to continue growing.
It will always be friendly to those who are of any level in this game, whether it's your first or 500th game, please feel free to come along!
Please be considerate of other users at the venue. We have a dedicated space - but the game can be loud with many people talking and we don't want to disrupt other people's enjoyment while they play other things.
We usually go to the Owain Glyndwr pub for a couple of drinks afterwards; it's a chance to unwind, celebrate our wins, lament our losses, and bond as a group. Please feel free to join us!
We are in the process of establishing our Storyteller rota - full details will be on the Discord. Kev, Matt, Ash and Luci commonly storytell but we welcome others who want to get involved too.
Accessibility:
The venue has a lift from street level and is step-free inside. There is plenty of seating. There are toilets but we're unsure about adapted facilities - this will be checked at the next opportunity.
