Monochrome Painting Workshop

Dive into the world of monochrome painting in this workshop, where you'll craft your unique study of land or sea using only one color and touches of black and white. Discover the power of shading and values as you create stunningly realistic landscapes and seascapes using a single color pigment to create a bold monochromatic painting.

This class includes instructions and materials. Beginners are welcome, but the class is geared towards adults. Children under 13 must sign up with an adult family member.

The instructor is Greg Scott. Greg has a diverse background in art, with a degree from the Northwest College of Art and Design in 3D animation and illustration. Greg has been leading workshops for a variety of groups in WA. and OR. Greg is enthusiastic about teaching and collaborating with artists; the process of collaborating with others feeds his own creative body of work. Greg has been voted Cannon Beach's 2025 Artist of the Year. Greg's unique use of color has caught the attention of collectors and enthusiasts internationally, experience his way of seeing in vivid color.
