RESTORE is a passive and comfortable Restorative Yoga practice that invites a deep-felt sense of rest, peace, and inner calm. Supported floor-based yoga postures are held for 5-12 minutes. Gentle breathing will help you relax into the pose and embrace your inner world. Be guided to discover your practice and experience serenity as you generate nurturing energy through conscious rest. Leave feeling peaceful and nurtured.
This class is extended to 90 minutes during the Southern Hemisphere WINTER SOLSTICE.
The winter solstice is the day with the shortest period of daylight and longest night of the year, and when the Sun is at its lowest daily maximum elevation in the sky. the winter solstice marks the end of autumn and beginning of winter, and winter solstice traditions were created to celebrate the “birth of the sun.” The occasion is marked with sweet and traditional winter solstice rituals—from brewing warm drinks to eating grounding warm foods.
At its core, the Winter Solstice embodies a moment of transition — a shift from darkness to light. It can affect the body's circadian rhythm, which regulates sleep-wake cycles, hormonal release, and other physiological processes.
This moment is the perfect time for Restorative Yoga and tea ceremony.
Warm, natural, homemade tea to support digestion will be served at the conclusion of the class.
