Creating a sand mandala is a meditative way to tap into both your own intuition and the wisdom of ancestors while immersing yourself in a tactile activity that is calming and fun. You’ll find yourself relaxed, focused, and connected with your inner self, and you’ll take home a colorful personal mandala framed for display.

About the Instructor:

Jan Whitted, a lifelong maker, mixed media artist and educator, is the developer of the Personal Sand Mandala Kit by Creative Adventures. She crafts hands-on workshops and take-home art kits with the goal of bringing positive change into the world through personal, meaningful art. Her workshops foster creativity, self-expression, and artistic skills in people of all ages. Based in Cambridge, Jan hosts workshops at her Lowell Studio and other locations.

A collaborative, innovative problem solver, her rich and varied experiences as an entrepreneur, pie baker, letterpress printer, citizen journalist, technology manager, retail store owner, and local arts and business advocate come together at Creative Adventures and infuse her workshops with imagination, community and spirituality.
