As part of Great Big Green Week, the UK’s biggest celebration of community action for nature and climate, we're bringing together a week packed with fun, discovery, and inspiration.
What’s on
• Low Waste Tudor Cooking: this session will be focused on the low waste attitudes of Tudor Cooks and providing inspiration for our own modern lives.
• Seed Planting: this is a drop in event where you can plant a small compostable pot with a selection of wildflower seeds, then take it home to enjoy in your garden.
• Willow Birdfeeder Workshop: Join local willow artist Jasmine Fassenfelt who will show you how to make swallows and dragonflies out of natural willow. (Booking Essential)
• Conservation in Action: learn how we take care of our collection using eco-friendly tools and cleaning materials.
• Seed Bomb Making: Join Kate our Ranger to make your own seed bomb to take away.
• Bird Box Decorating: Help us to encourage wildlife in the woodlands here at Buckland by decorating a bird box (one per group), which will then be installed out on the estate.
• Guided Bird Walk: Take a walk around the beautiful woodlands and learn more about the birds, their habitats and how to identify them. (Booking Essential)
