Learn about the Southern Alberta Pioneers and their Descendants, the Pioneer Memorial Building and surrounding grounds. You will then walk down a pathway to see what remains of Lindsay’s Folly, Dr. Neville Lindsay’s failed attempt to build a grand mansion on the Elbow River. The walk continues down the hill and along the Elbow River Pathway prior to heading back up to Park Hill and Princess Obolensky Park. You will learn the fascinating story about Russian Princess Tania Obolensky who was born in Moscow in 1913 and ended up in Calgary, living at nearby Rideau Towers.
WALK NOTES: steep slopes, uneven terrain, no dogs please - except service dogs.

WALK LEADER: Russell Moore is the current President of the Southern Alberta Pioneers and their Descendants. Russell is a third generation Calgarian that grew up in Hillhurst and attended Queen Elizabeth School grades 1-12.
