Snakepit Ab
The Wildrose hardcore scene is thriving, and Snakepit Ab is one of its mightiest titans. These death metal mutilators have been going since 2012, and their brutal thrashcore assault is relentless. Case in point: last year’s Invasion of Fire features three tracks of highly technical death metal that’ll leave your neck sore and your ears blissfully ringing.
Autolysis
A throwback to hiding metal CDs with disgusting art from your parents, Autolysis specializes in festering death metal with hints of goregrind delivered at maximum volume. With song titles like “Incessant Bile Regurgitation,” it’s no wonder the band calls themselves “extremely greasy ‘music’ for the criminally insane.” If that’s you, Autolysis is not to be missed.
JOBSITE
Your friendly neighbourhood powerviolence band, JOBSITE is here to smash eardrums and clock out by 5pm. Piggy backing on Victoria's long history of fastcore bands, the group was formed out of our desire to pick up where the others left off. Fast, furious, and always a little too loud, JOBSITE blends grindcore speed with the chaos of a construction site.
Feeding
Formed in 2017, Feeding is a four-piece hurricane of heaviness from Edmonton, Alberta. They’ve played extensively throughout Western Canada and released three EPs, the latest featuring brutal grindcore compositions like “NECROTIC DRAINAGE.” The band is gearing up to release their debut full-length this summer, a nefarious offering of thrashing death metal.
