From Hive to Honey: Hands on Extraction Workshop

Join Linda Symmes from Plan Bee Calgary for a hands-on workshop that takes you through the process of harvesting honey from the supers and into jars. See how honey is tested for moisture, and why it matters, as you smell the incredible aroma of fresh, raw honey straight from the hive. Be prepared to get sticky as you scrape wax cappings and load the extractor for a fun experience that is just as sweet as honey. Everything is provided, just bring your love of nature and gain a greater appreciation for the beauty and complexity of honey (and honeycomb) that is just as fascinating as the bees that make it. Max of 10 people.
