Logistics for joining us:
- you can access Highfield Farm vehicle access on the north side of property - careful of potholes on the way in!
= Parking is located on west side of the lot
- the meeting point is just on the other side of the greenhouse, from the parking lot
- prepare to get a bit dirty if you are participating in the compost making. Closed toes shoes and wet gloves are recommended

This week we are conducting an experiment with bokashi food scraps... in a hot compost pile! Join us to learn about bokashi composting and how it can be used as a method for collecting/preparing food scraps for the compost pile. We will be talking about effective microorganisms (EM), bokashi bran, and the fermentation process. After that, we will build a hot compost pile using bokashi food scraps along with other locally sources materials that might otherwise be considered “waste”.
