Pendleside Rushbearing Festival 2025: a Traditional Rural Festival
for the whole Community of Pendleside.

Saturday, July 12th at Newchurch-in-Pendle: * Gather at St Mary’s School from 2.00pm

* Procession through the village from 2.30pm

* Crowning of the Rushbearing King and Queen and Blessing of Rushes

* Procession and Bearing of Rushes to St Mary’s Church

Festival Service and Scattering of Rushes,

* Food, live music and dancing
