Lindy 1: Deep Dive into Lindy Hop Essentials (2-Hour Class)

Ready to go beyond Beginning Swing? Our new 2-hour Lindy 1 class is designed to give you the time and space to truly dig into the foundations of Lindy Hop. With double the usual class time, we'll move at a comfortable pace that allows for more individual feedback, extended practice, and plenty of time to ask questions. We'll explore essential 8-count rhythms (and how to flow between 6, 8, 10, 12, and more) while focusing on fine-tuning one of Lindy Hop’s core moves: the swing out. You'll get the chance to break it down, clean it up, and really understand how it works. This class is perfect for dancers who are: Ready to transition from Beginning Swing into 8-count Lindy Hop, or, looking to strengthen their fundamentals, or eager to build a solid and versatile Lindy Hop foundation. Come get more confident with your footwork, rhythm, and connection in a supportive and encouraging environment!
This is a series class. Please plan to start June 3rd and come the whole month! No partner necessary.

Please pre-register on this page. Bring clean shoes that won't track in grit or leave black heel marks. Parking is limited, so plan to park on nearby streets and walk to the North Star Hall at 20 Crowley Street.
