About the event

Part 2: Identifying with communication styles and barriers
The types of communication that causes toxic relationships and how to effectively communicate better for personal growth.

About this Event

Event Description:

Last month we focused on uncovering how we communicate—and what might be getting in the way. This month we decide to learn effective ways of communicating that we can immediately learn to put into use to see results. By participating in guided conversations and discussions you can learn practical tools to enhance your connections with others. Weather its building better work relationships, a healthier relationship with your family, being able to express yourself to your friends or not going off when they got your order wrong at the drive thru. Learning effective communication tools is necessary for personal growth. We will focus on if you communicate in a pushy, assertive or passive manner and how those type of communication can at times cause toxic relationships.

What to Expect:

🧠 A therapist-led deep dive into the psychology of communication

🔍 Learn to identify your unique communication style

🚧 Explore common communication barriers such as assumptions, emotional triggers, and cultural influences

🛠 Practice real-world tools to improve clarity, empathy, and understanding

💬 Group interaction and self-reflective activities

📝 Leave with a resource guide for continued growth

Who Should Attend:

- Anyone interested in improving communication in a toxic relationship

- Individuals exploring self-development and emotional intelligence

- Mental health advocates, social workers, educators, team leaders, and more

Takeaway:
