THE THIN MAN (1934)

Eager for excitement, socialite couple Nick and Nora Charles (William Powell and Myrna Loy) set out with their fox terrier, Asta, to solve a murder case—and polish off an ocean of martinis while they’re at it. Pre-code comedy meets whodunnit in the first installment of the classic detective series.

The screening on Monday, August 4, is presented in conjunction with a Cinema Classics Seminar taught by Jennifer Fleeger, Ph.D.
