Vica Pacheco is a musician and visual artist born in Mexico but living and working in Brussels. Her installations combine experimental music with animation films and sound performances. Even the musical instruments are made by her. For this concert Pacheco will create a live improvised set to accompany the animation films of Czech painter and illustrator Zdeněk Miler with hand built ceramic instruments. His silent films of O krtkovi (The little mole) follow the many poetic adventures in the forest together with his animal friends. The distinct visual style of these films still manages to amaze audiences of all ages today due to their universal themes and imaginative storytelling.

La créatrice mexicaine Vica Pacheco, établie à Bruxelles, conçoit des installations où la musique expérimentale est amplifiée par des films d'animation et des performances sonores, le tout accompagné d'instruments de musique artisanaux. Pour ce concert particulier, Pacheco offre un set improvisé en direct, en fusionnant ses propres créations musicales avec les films d'animation du peintre et illustrateur Zdeněk Miler. Elle utilise pour cela des instruments en céramique qu'elle a elle-même confectionnés. Les films muets, baptisés "O krtkovi" (La petite taupe), nous entraînent dans les aventures poétiques d'une taupe et de ses amis animaux de la forêt. Le style visuel unique de ces films continue de captiver un large public, de tous âges, grâce à ses thèmes universels et ses histoires empreintes d'imaginaire.

De in Brussel werkzame Mexicaanse Vica Pacheco creëert installaties waarbij experimentele muziek versterkt wordt door animatiefilms en geluidsperformances. Zelfs de muziekinstrumenten zijn van haar hand. Voor dit concert maakt Pacheco een live geïmproviseerde set bij de animatiefilms van schilder en illustrator Zdeněk Miler met zelfgemaakte instrumenten uit keramiek. Zijn stomme films met als titel O krtkovi (Het kleine molletje) volgen de poëtische avonturen van het molletje in het bos samen met zijn dierenvriendjes. De uitgesproken visuele stijl van deze films weet tot op de dag van vandaag publiek van alle leeftijden te verbazen dankzij de universele thema's en fantasierijke verhalen.
