Ukraine on Film, the oldest Ukrainian film festival in the EU capital, returns for its 9th edition!

Join us for five days of powerful cinema – from this year’s Oscar-nominated documentary Porcelain War, to U Are The Universe, Ukraine’s first-ever sci-fi love story. The line-up features fiction and documentary films by acclaimed and emerging directors, exploring war, memory, resilience, identity, and the human spirit.

On the programme:
— Porcelain War (Oscar nominee, Sundance winner)
— Songs of Slow Burning Earth (ARTE co-production, on war and trauma)
— Fragments of Ice (personal story across USSR collapse)
— U Are the Universe (award-winning sci-fi romance)
— Grey Bees (adaptation of Andrey Kurkov’s acclaimed novel)

Organised by the Ukrainian Institute, Arthouse Traffic, and the Association of Ukrainians in Belgium, with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Belgium, the Mission of Ukraine to the EU, ARTE, and Cinema Galeries.
