Restorative Yoga is meant to relax, relieve, and rejuvenate the body. This practice combines a little yin with a lot of restorative! A restorative practice utilizes props to support the body allowing the muscles to soften into a deep stretch while calming our nervous system. A restorative practice encourages a new sense of bodily awareness and introspection.
Vibration and sound is added to this workshop to synergize the meditative and somatic effects of restorative yoga by way of resonant sound tools designed to energize your cells and imbue them with increase immunity, reducing stress as theta brain waves are evoked by binaural sound. Your parasympathetic nervous system (rest & digest) will be activated, lowering cortisol levels and promoting deep relaxation to combat mental and physical fatigue.
Bronze Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, tongue drum, vocal toning and crystal bowls will be used to create healing and transformation in the body and mind. See you on the mat!
There is an optional offering of personal sound massage for each participant with Tibetan bowls placed strategically on the body (with consent).
