Join the VOTE Baton Rouge Chapter for our Juneteenth celebration on Saturday, June 28th from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM at Throw Dat Dirt (11890 Gibbens Rd in Scotlandville, LA). We will be featuring live performances by Wasteland Baby, artists from BR Sincere Records, and powerful spoken word poetry from AilemaSpeaks and Freedom X, with a special guest to be announced.
Attendees can also enjoy a variety of activities including food trucks, games, a bounce house, and ATV rides, bring your own or rent one through park management. This celebration honors Juneteenth, marking the end of slavery in the U.S. and reflecting on the continued pursuit of freedom and equality. Let’s come together to uplift the spirit of community and unity, echoing the vibrance of North Baton Rouge’s legacy.
