Join Us for Guided Tours & Open Visiting Hours--details below:
Guided Sanctuary Tour: 1:30pm – 3:00pm
Donation required. Reservations preferred.
Guided tours include visits at most of our main animal barns with opportunities to meet some of our 650+ rescued animals. Please note, this is not a petting zoo, here the animals' welfare comes first and while some animals may want to engage with visitors, some may not. Tours offer a wealth of information for visitors, plenty of time for asking questions, and are appropriate for guests of any age, though we will touch on the reasons why our animals needed to be rescued and families with small children may prefer the option for a self-guided tour where they can go at their own pace. There is quite a bit of walking on the guided tour, but there is the option for visitors to drive between barns if needed, just check in with the tour guide at the beginning.
Open Visiting Hours: 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Suggested donation for visitors appreciated. No reservations needed.
Open Visiting Hours are available for guests who want a little more flexibility to go at their own pace within the two hour window alloted and are often preferred by families with young children who may not have the attention span to go on a longer tour. Self-guided visitors may go to many our main animal barns (where caregivers will be stationed to answer questions, enforce safety rules, etc.) with opportunities to meet some of our 650+ rescued animals. Please note, this is not a petting zoo, here the animals' welfare comes first and while some animals may want to engage with visitors, some may not. Please make sure to check in at the welcome table when you arrive to sign in and get important safety instructions, a sanctuary map, and more.
