About the event

“The Art of Being Alive”: A Personal Narrative Workshop by Morgan Jerkins
The Free Black Women's Library is excited to present this writing workshop series led by award winning author & professor Morgan Jerkins

About this Event

One of the most common roadblocks for Black women writers, or women and gender non-conforming experiences is first recognizing that their memories and experiences matter. In this three-part journey with author Morgan Jerkins, students will learn about the formation of memory, how to engage with their trauma, and the ways in which we navigate the world that keep us safe, whole (or fragmented), and most of all, human.
