WFMU is an independent freeform radio station broadcasting at 91.1 and 91.9 fm in New York City and New Jersey, at 90.1 and 91.9 fm in the Hudson Valley, as well as online / on demand at wfmu.org.
WFMU’s programming ranges from flat-out uncategorizable strangeness to rock and roll, experimental music, jazz, psychedelia, hip-hop, electronica, punk rock, gospel, R&B and more. It's stations like this that that amplify new and emerging scenes and sounds coming out of New York city, and they are ESSENTIAL to helping NYC maintain it's regional sonic character.
