Queer Introvert Happy Hour

Does socializing make you nervous? Do you want to make friends, but are shy about breaking the ice with people? We feel that. If you do, too, then welcome to Queer Introvert Happy Hour at Hive Mind Books!

This event is designed to help you meet other queer and trans people in an easy, low stakes way, in the cozy comfort of a warm and friendly queer and trans bookstore.

Here's how it works: we’ll seat everyone in small groups, provide interesting, bookish prompts, and give you a few minutes to chat. When time is up, we’ll shake everyone up into different groups and provide another prompt. After a few rounds, we’ll have open time to hang out.

If the chatting becomes overwhelming, you can visit our quiet corner in the back to have some time to yourself. Or choose to leave the group and browse, no shame and no questions asked. Books are always here for us!

We’ll be mixing drinks from our mocktail menu, and our full coffee and tea menu will be available. This is a fun way to socialize and get to know people without any pressure. It’s totally free to attend. Maybe you'll make a new friend!
