Capoeira Luanda Brooklyn and Professor Pião are just a small piece of the Luanda Family here in New York City. 50 years ago in 1975, Mestre Jelon moved to the Meatpacking district and began introducing the art of Capoeira to New Yorkers, offering weekly demonstrations in Central Park. Today, his students continue to spread his teachings in dozens of cities accross the globe. We hope you will join us in supporting the amazing legacy he planted here 50 years ago.

We will have 2 days of workshops with guest instructors and rodas to celebrate the art of Capoeira. All of our workshop facilitators are generously donating their time and expertise so that all proceeds can be put toward the 50th Anniversary of Capoeira in the United States.

We have an adult who will be supervising children in an adjacent classroom and the school's playyard during all our adult workshops!
