Calling all BWC Members! The long awaited playground cleanup. Monday June 30 , 9:00 am.
Did you know the Brookline Women's Club worked with the Recreation Commission to get this playground established?
The equipment is in pretty good condition after all these years. It just has some mold and other growth and needs to be cleaned off.
I know it's not a lot of advance warning but we are trying to get this done before the 4th of July when many people may be there. All are welcome to help including any friends you have that might be interested in participating. You don't need to be a member to help (and please consider joining our club in the September when it starts up again!)
If you bring your kids, we may have a pressure washer that they would have to stay out of the way of. Since we will be cleaning the equipment I don't know how much they can play on the equipment for that time period. (give them a brush !)
The BWC will be providing cleaning products. We plan to do a deep scrub with baking soda paste then washdown with vinegar water mix.
PRESSURE WASHER: Anyone have a a gas powered one? that would be great, otherwise we will just hose down with a jet spray spicket.
I thought we could also have a "raking brigade" that could handle raking the entire area. It's semi sandy with twigs ... I can't remember the leaf situation. I will bring 2 rakes.
If you could let me know if you are coming I'd appreciate it so I know I won't be alone!!
WHAT TO BRING: SPONGES , scrub brushes and bucket , maybe a rake if you want to help with that.
