Volunteer Orientation & Discovery Meeting

New and returning volunteers will gather for an overview of the Every Child volunteer opportunity and to gain new insight in serving the vulnerable population of kids and families in the foster care system. Hear from team leads and current volunteers as to why they are so passionate about their role. Whether you are interested in behind the scenes work or direct care support, we have role for you.

Respite Care - The Tutoring and Enrichment Program provides support for children and youth who are impacted by foster care. One-on-one tutoring and engaging enrichment activities that encourage academic devlopment and social engagement are foundational to this program. Volunteers will gather to learn insight from previous sessions and how to best care for our students.

Hospitality - This team provides appreciation gifts for child welfare staff and resource (foster) families. Learn how you can express gratitude for those who step into hard spaces in our community.

Fundraising - Do you enjoy planning events or organizing outreach opportunities. This team will focus on 3-4 events per year to engage the community in the work of Every Child. Learn how you can get involved with community engagement.

Tangible Needs - This team supports children and youth in care by connecting the community with real-time needs. Learn how you can help the community connect with a family by providing tangible needs like diapers, bedding, and clothing.

Dinner will be provided for all guests. Please RSVP by August 12th.
