Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) is a holistic approach that is multi‑disciplinary, flexible, attachment‑centered, and challenging. It is an evidence‑based, trauma‑informed intervention that is specifically designed for children who come from hard places, such as maltreatment, abuse, neglect, multiple home placements, and violence, but you’ll see that the principles apply to all children. TBRI® consists of three sets of harmonious principles: Connecting, Empowering, and Correcting Principles, which you’ll learn about more in this and other training modules.
TBRI® is utilized in classrooms, homes, residential settings, and anywhere that kids, youth, and adults need connection. These principles are based on trust and when used consistently, provide a healing environment for anyone experiencing trauma.
This training event is a two-part session with Part I scheduled on August 16th and Part II on August 23rd. To receive the Caregiver Training Certificate, participants must attend both sessions.
Parents, teachers, community leaders, resource parents, Every Child volunteers, CASA volunteers, and ODHS staff are encouraged to register for this training.
