SUNDAY 27 JULY: Sleat Marine Litter Day!

Everything You Wanted To Know About Ocean Plastics, Marine Litter, Whale Entanglement and more… but were afraid to ask!

09:30-11:30 Community Beach clean of Ostaig Beach.
All welcome. Bring gloves. NOTE: the path down to Ostaig beach is steep and can be slippery. Caution required.

1-5pm: LIFE’S A BEACH at An Crubh.
A new and exciting event for all the family!
—Come along anytime between 1-5pm and meet the teams dealing with marine litter, beach cleans and whale entanglement, and find out what is being done to improve the situation… and what we can all do to help.
—Discussions, displays, and activities for kids.
—Photography from Simon Riddell and artwork by Gail McGregor-Mason.
—Organisations representing: Sleat Nature Group, 50 Years Of Litter on Skye, Scottish Entanglement Alliance, Scottish Marine Animal Stranding Scheme, Fishing For Litter, Team Otter, Skye Beach Cleans, Marine Conservation Society, Highlands & Islands Climate Hub.
