The Mark Pradella Band featuring Peter Vance
Mark Pradella is a woodwind player/band leader/arranger and is currently Head of Woodwind at St Peters Lutheran College, Indooroopilly. His extensive experience performing, touring around the country and arranging music for bands has positioned him well to teach and inspire many young musicians. Still regularly performing around Australia, Mark has recently worked on a project which involved many of his past students, bringing together strings and vocalists along with his regular band to form a 20-piece group which recorded an album together entitled That’s the Way of the World (Live at the Brisbane Jazz Club). This ambitious project was a huge success, and the album is now in 196 countries and on 200 music media platforms including YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music.
Their performance will feature material from Grover Washington Jr, Benny Goodman, Michael Jackson and Peabo Bryson, including an original tune. Mark, playing clarinet, tenor, alto and soprano sax and his band, along with soul vocalist Peter Vance will present exciting arrangements of tunes from a mixture of musical styles – jazz, swing, blues, funk, Latin and more. Band members include Ian Townson - drums, Connor Townson - percussion, Matthew Teakle - guitar, Hal Chandler - bass and Sam Pace - piano. This will be a musical journey with great arrangements, stage fun and toe-tapping grooves.
The Mark Pradella Band presents high-quality music combined with warmth, fun, energy and entertainment. This will be an experience that will linger with you well after the event.
