Calling all lovers of Sting, Harry Connick Jr's funk albums, Jamiroquai, Stevie Wonder... music with soul and groove. Presenting a band of heavy hitters, pushing each other to interpret great songs with feel and passion. The Guides will take you on a journey of musical excellence, soaring through funk, jazz and popular music, paying homage to the songwriter's craft, while expanding horizons through improvisation.
Led by Simon Watson, Vocalist / Piano player, and featuring some of the Brisbane music scene's most highly regarded players including Mark Henman - Drums, Mark Peric - Bass, Aaron West - Guitar / Vocals and James Sandon - Saxophone, this is a show to get excited about - individual brilliance meeting synchronicity, great songs meeting great interpretation.
