Every year, from Sunday to Sunday in the first week of July, communities across Australia come together to honour and celebrate the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples during National NAIDOC Week.
In 2025, the First Nations community of Brisbane (Meanjin) proudly embraces the theme:
"The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy."
This year’s theme pays tribute not only to the remarkable achievements of the past, but also to the powerful future ahead — one shaped by the strength of our young leaders, the shared vision of our communities, and the enduring legacy of our ancestors.
In honour of this theme, our celebration will centre around First Nations excellence and expression, with entertainment showcasing the diversity and creativity of our people:
🎶 First Nations DJs spinning tracks that energise and unite
🎤 A legendary First Nations band bringing iconic sounds to the main stage
🎧 Blak rap artists performing across boat levels, amplifying the voices of the next generation
