Be sure to book in early for one of Brisbane Jazz Club’s flagship events - THE JAZZ SINGERS’ JAM NIGHT, where you can look forward to seeing 12 fabulous singers accompanied by some of Queensland’s best jazz musicians. This month features - Dave Spicer - piano, Alex Askew - bass, and Paul Hudson - drums.
This month features Sunny Vicars, Pete Vance, Ella Doneman, Vince Lapore, Charlotte Meade, Lois Cutmore, Jan Lennard, Miles Foggon, Hanika Stautner, Trina Lincoln, Dave Spicer, and host for the June Jam will be Naomi Doessel.
The Jazz Singers’ Jam Night is wildly popular, and for almost 24 years, since 2001, has become something of a legacy in Brisbane’s cultural
heritage. Produced and hosted by its founder, Ingrid James, the JSJNs boast 4 generations of jazz vocalists from emerging to professionals, to surprise sit-ins from interstate and overseas guest artists.
“The JSJNs always have this vibe about them from the first note to the last. 12 singers of all levels of experience get up on stage with a professional house band, sing their hearts out and are received with great warmth, humour and encouragement from a thrilled crowd”.
