🐝 What is HUM?
HUM is a multi-day gathering for those who live for the underground, the sound system culture, and the community that makes it all happen. It’s powered by the HEX Sound System, fuelled by visionary art, and focused on creating a space where everyone can be themselves.

The crew that bring you Amalgarhythmz, Dub Sbass, Sub Sbass, and the Hex Sound System. We’ll also be joined by a bunch of our favourite and diverse SEQ crews as they step in for Takeovers!

We know what you love! It’s the same as us! It’s the BASS yeah? We’ve been working hard like busy little bees to bring you the Hex Sound System like it’s never been seen or heard before. This is a Sound System immersion!

🐝 What’s the ethos of HUM?
Respect for each other. Respect for ourselves. Respect for the sounds. Respect for the land. This is a BYO and TYO gathering. Please take home EVERYTHING that you bring.
🐝 Is HUM a BYO event?
Yes it is. However, this is a low-alcohol event. We kindly ask that you bring only a moderate amount of alcohol. In accordance with our commitment to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment, we ask all guests to drink responsibly. Excessive intoxication or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated, and individuals exhibiting such behavior may be required to leave. Thank you for your cooperation!
🐝 Is HUM family-friendly?
Absolutely. HUM is not an 18+ event. There’s a separate family camping area with a dedicated kids’ space. 12 AND UNDER are free with an adult BUT STILL NEED A TICKET, and under-18s get in at half price with a guardian.
🐝 What should people bring?
You’ll need everything for a proper camping experience. Make sure you’ve got food, water, and enough gear to get you through four days in the bush. Nights can get chilly, so bring some warm layers too. This is a camp out!
🐝 Can people volunteer or get involved?
We’re always keen to have people get involved. Volunteers are vital for events of this size, and you’ll get to be a part of the experience while helping out behind the scenes. Please fill out the Volley Application here

🐝 Is there a Theme for HUM?
We’re a bit bee-centric and invite everyone to dress up on Sunday as your best BEE self! Check out the chart on the event page to find your BEE match! Best dressed BEE wins the honey!.
🐝 Is this a non-profit event?
HUM is about the culture but has to be financially viable to sustain itself. A percentage of any surplus funds will go to Save the Bees.
🐝 Does it cost more to come on Thursday?
No. We’re breaking the festival norm! We’re opening gates at 9AM at no extra charge. Join us for a wee land care session at midday. The HUM stage kicks off with ceremony and sound at 5pm and runs until midnight
🐝 What safety measures are in place?
Professional medics will be in attendance at all times. Security, Stewards and The ConsciousNest are all on site.
🐝 What is the ConsciousNest?
Festival and Event Welfare Services - Harm Reduction Education - Creative Therapy Services - Safe Space and Peer Support.
🐝 What’s the deal with mobile signal?
We’ve heard Vodafone works best on-site, but service can be patchy depending on your provider.
