Axel Wild
Wildlife Sound Recordist | Immersive Electronic Music Producer
The music of Axel Wild (Axel Drioli) merges electronic grooves with organic natural sounds, shaped by years of international travel through his project Sounding Wild, following migratory bird routes across Europe and West Africa. Sampling the rhythms of nature, he blends contemporary electronic influences with traditional sounds and percussion, crafting sets that evolve like the natural world—starting with deep, contemplative grooves and building into powerful, high-energy instrumentations, echoing the dawn chorus.
Axel’s debut EP Wildifyed (2024), released under Sounding Wild Records, fuses funk, house, hip-hop, and jungle with organic soundscapes. He recently performed at Glastonbury 2025 with Sam Lee, and at Shambala Festival and Future of Sound 2024, delivering spatial and improvisational live sets that connect music with the wild. As a spatial audio designer, Axel has worked with The Philharmonia Orchestra, BBC Springwatch, and The Guardian. He is UK-based, born in Trieste, Italy.

Hazel Reeves
Wildlife Sound Recordist | Sound Artist | Sculptor
Hazel Reeves’ artistic practice is becoming wilded, her studio being at the heart of the pioneering rewilding Knepp Estate. She sees herself as a sculptural choreographer who harnesses the sounds of nature to tell stories of hope, of burgeoning biodiversity in nature havens like Knepp, where nightingales thrive yet face cataclysmic declines elsewhere.
Hazel’s passion is creating playful, immersive, affecting nature soundscape experiences for all – involving birdsong and movement/dance – that participants find freeing, thrilling, joyous. These events bring people closer to nature, closer to each other. Hazel’s collaboration with composer Damian Montagu, Knepp Dawn, was released under Moonshot Music Label (2024), blending melody and dawn recordings. Hazel lives in Brighton.
