Join artist Jane Fordham on Tuesday 19 August for a full day of Experimental Life Drawing in the beautifully atmospheric setting of Fabrica's main gallery space.
With its spacious layout, shifting natural light, and peaceful ambiance, Fabrica is the perfect environment to explore new ways of seeing and drawing.
Over many years, Jane has developed a unique approach to life drawing at Fabrica—moving elements within the space, responding to seasonal light, and incorporating found objects into creative sessions. Each day has its own rhythm, shaped by a shared group focus while also allowing space for personal artistic goals.
Whether you’re an experienced artist or a curious beginner, this session welcomes all who are interested in experimentation and process. The group thrives on peer support, shared learning, and the pleasure of drawing together.
Expect a day filled with creative exploration through a variety of drawing prompts and experimental approaches. Jane offers both group direction and one-on-one guidance, supporting each participant’s unique interests and style. You’ll also have access to a calm break-out area with an evolving library of art books for inspiration, and at times, a shared making space with experimental materials. Filter coffee, a selection of teas, and biscuits will be available throughout the day to keep your energy up.
Sketchbooks are strongly encouraged as a space for ongoing exploration, reflection, and development during and beyond the session. Cartridge paper is also available to purchase at cost
